Wedding Photography Workshop in Croatia - Part I

When Roland Faistenberger Photography announced that he is going to give a wedding photography workshop I didn't have to think twice. From the first time I heard of this guy and saw his pictures I was in awe. So of course I booked the workshop.

At the end of March the time has finally come. With my two oh so talented fellow photographers from Vienna – Marie Bleyer and Maximilian Salzer – I jumped into the car and off we went to Croatia. We even got there a couple of days before the workshop started and had a really great time together with our lovely and super fun colleagues from Germany.

And then, finally, the first day of the workshop came. And with the first day came the first shooting. Our models for the day were a lovely surprise: Julia and Gil from Julia and Gil Photography. To be honest, they were doing an almost as terrific job in front of the lens as they do behind the camera. So shooting them was really fun and I ended up with some pretty nice images.

So, without any further ado, I want to present you my little selection.

Thank you guys so much!

that special glow

A few weeks ago I got a call from Ivana. I had the privilege of shooting her wedding with Marco last year (you can see the pictures here). Ivana surprised me with the news that they are expecting a baby and asked me if I could do a couple of maternity pictures for them. It was a surprise for her husband for their first wedding anniversary. Well, no need to ask me twice ...

We had a very relaxed and nice afternoon together in their awesome house. Marco even surprised his wife with some flowers. As for the pictures – see for yourself.

Wedding on a sunny day in Rust

Let's be honest. The weather this summer in Austria wasn't quite what we all had hoped for. A bit too cold, a bit too much rain, a bit too less sun. Not on the wedding day of Anita and Stefan. When they got married at the beginning of August it was the hottest day of the year. Their venue in Rust, a lovely town next to Neusiedler See, was just perfect. Anita got ready in the lovely little one-room-hotel TiMiMoo. The ceremony itself took place just a few steps away. After they bride and groom exchanged their vows, they surprised their guests with a ride in an awesome London-Style double-decker bus to the final location: Seerestaurant Katamaran.

Anita and Stefans day was a day filled with laughter and love and I am really happy and honored, that they trusted me in capturing it for them. Once more: Congratulations to the two of you!

(by the way: the cake from The Cake-Shop was delicious as always)
